P.E. still sucks

I don't know about you, but I HATED P.E. in school. I hated the horrible gym shorts that you had to wear and I REALLY hated running. This of course was when I was Kathy. Kathy would even fake illnesses to get out of running or doing any sort of exercise. And the worst days of P.E. were the annual fitness tests when you had to see how many sit ups you could do in a minute etc.
Flash forward, and I realize that Katie is Kathy's mortal enemy. Not only do I run all the time, but this Bootcamp is essentially P.E. on steroids for grown ups. And this morning there was a FITNESS TEST! ARGH! So I am going public with my stats. We will be tested again at the end of camp, so here's hoping these numbers look better:
- Push-ups in a minute: 32 (on my knees - ha).
- Sit-ups in a minute:36 (these are the mean kind where you have to just touch top of your knees with your hands so you don't get any momentum out of it).
- 1 Mile Run: 8:32 (not bad for being 10lbs over weight, half of which I think is in my doubled up sports bra)!

So excited to have 2 days off.

I used to look at women older than me and say, "man, I hope I look that good when I am HER age!" Then one day I realized I did not look as good as her at MY age. Good for you, Katie - and you too, Kathy - for learning only to compare yourself to yourself and set reasonable goals to change what you can, accept what you want, and the wisdom to know the difference. You go, girl!
