Ponies, Pubs and 1 Pissed Off Girl

Friday night we met the Cecchin's up at the Merry-Go-Round in Tilden Park. It's a gem within the East Bay Regional Park system. They call it "Christmas Fantasy" and the entire place is decked out in Christmas lights and there is hot cocoa and other treats for sale. They also had a little house where you could meet Santa and tell him your wish for Christmas. I'll let you take one good guess at what Brooke was wishing for in this picture....

Thank goodness meeting Santa was free and we snapped this shot ourselves. This saved us the hassle of waiting in line and paying for it at the mall! But hey - we have the shot and can officially check it off our list. Brooke LOVED the carousel ride. I mean LOVED it.

She loved it so much, that we did it 3 times. Much to Brooke's dismay, you do however, have to get off in between rides. So during each "intermission" there were tears and wailing. You would think someone just made her sit on a complete strangers lap. Oh wait.
Just to prove how old this carousel ride really is...see evidence below! I mean, what is that thing on the wall? (And yes, I did wipe her hands off afterwards).
After all of the extreme highs and lows of the "Christmas Fantasy" we went to Kensington Circus pub. One word to describe this place: AWESOME. They have an entire area of the restaurant just for kids to play in. They are never out of view and you can actually relax and eat. In fact, Marco got so relaxed at dinner that he started experimenting with Brooke's bow....

But he's not the first one to be jealous of her cool stuff....(Taki is probably plotting revenge now).

So bummed we missed the Carousel! Stupid work getting in the way. We may try and hit it up this week sometime if it isn't raining and is still open. Goota go, Taki needs help plotting...
