I've been waiting for a chance to reference Van Halen on my blog and finally... its here! (And yes, I am a Hagar fan. I like Roth and all...but 5150 is is all I'm sayin).
We started off the weekend with a great dinner on the deck at the Claremont to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary! Nonno and Grandma babysat - which was very nice!
Saturday and Sunday were hot, so we basically made it all about being anywhere near water or A/C. Brooke is so pro with the pool slide.
It was so hot, even Jack had to get in to the pool to cool off. And although I am not in the pictures here - it was so hot that I wore shorts. This NEVER happens. Hhhhoootttt.
Brooke - that's not your sippy cup. That's daddy's sippy cup.

After a few laps, it's time to lounge on the couch with a nice book. (I love that the face matches the caption on the cover).
She just finished reading "The fashion Police" - hilarious as always.
For our Sunday water activity, we headed to the beach at Lake Temescal with our BFF Alexis. Here they are walking to the beach - they look so grown up.
Brooke LOVES the water. Mommy - not so much. Lake Temescal is great though, with plenty of room to throw your towels and umbrellas..even on a super crowded day like today.
The girls thought it was really great to get their hair wet and they wanted to make sure that Jack's hair was good and wet too. Interesting technique.
